In tonight's meeting we discussed formation of individual team battle squads. These squads will challenge other EG teams. Not all EG teams will have battle squads but many will. Watch the EGM League catagory to keep up to date on this. If you wish to join the EG Armageddon battle squad contact Roger Hays for info on tryouts.

The second discussion was about the EGM League teams. These teams will, when ready be eligible for online tournaments. Only EGL is eligible for on site, live commercial tournaments.

Attendance is of the greatest importance. If you wish to join the League team you must be available for every match.

Once formed the team will make a practice schedule. All members must show up for practices.

The team will have to build a track record. After any practice sessions in Matchmaking a list of played games (Date & Time) must be turned in to the designated Senior Chief to be passed on for review. This will determine when the team is ready for online tournaments.

Members of any EGM League team will by definition be held to a higher standard than standard EGM members. The team must hold team practices a minimum of 2 days per week, 2 hours each day.

Team members must become proficient in the use of all weapons and equipment. Specialties, such as sniping are a plus.

Team members must be intimately familiar with the following.

All maps and game types.

Oddball starting locations

King of the hill locations

Locations of all weapons and equipment

Must know how to use all weapons and equipment to it’s full potential, such as the ability to throw the power drain through shield doors or bubble shields.

Remember, Being part of a league team has less to do with how many kills you make. Your team’s survival is paramount. Many people see assists as a bad thing. This is no way to think as a league team player. The truth is if your team wins, you win.

We are going to talk to some of the EGL guys about holding combat tactics courses. They will be discussed with the team and they will be held at an agreed on time. Once the time and date is set attendance is mandatory.

All EGM League team members must have an EG Tag. This tag must conform to EG regulations and must not contain any profanity or racist content. While some EGM League team members may belong to a team that condones trash talking and tea bagging you must remember that when you bear an EG tag you are charged with handling yourself with composure when interacting with others in the gaming community. While bearing an EG tag you are a representative of EG to the entire gaming community and must behave as such.

When it comes to tournament matches however this does not apply. In tournaments there are no mandatory EG rules, it’s kill or be killed.

There are still many more issues to be discussed and the team will be updated as conditions allow.
